How Much Money to Take to a Limit Poker Game - part 2

So I sat down to the poker table with $89.00 and now I am down to $15.00 which is not enough  money to play with so I should get off the table, but I get one last hand and it’s one I have to play, K Q suited I can’t fold it, so I am in again.

Just about everyone else stays in too, now the clubs come out and of course I have diamonds.  Then 4 to a small straight comes out, so at this point my great hand sucks, I did match up my king on the flop but so what, anyone with a club, a nine, or a four, and of course AK AA KK also beat me, as does any two pair or any three of a kind.

But the pot is $33.00 and I only have to call $2.00 so should I fold knowing I am probably beat by everyone still in?  No I put in my last $2 bucks and get ready to leave the table.

But some freak accident happens and I win a $35.00 pot, I guess everyone else was bluffing.  That’s poker.

I am back up to $35 and I run it up to $54.00 before I start to lose again. Back down to $41

To recap my poker game, in about 3 hours this is what happened to my bankroll:

  • started with $89

  • down to $23

  • up to $55

  • down to zero (but was still in the hand)

  • up to $54

  • down to $41
