Avoid Crying When Playing Poker

I was really tired today from not sleeping much at all last night,  However, I did qualified for the $1000 freeroll at bet365 along with 11,999 other people.

Since there were just under 12,000 of my closest friends playing, my game was a little loose to start and I immediately went down to 150 in chips.

Then I just pushed all-in to be done with it, 3 people called me and I won. Now I am back up to 600, the next hand I push all-in again and get one caller.  I have 4,4 against A,K.  neither of us hits anything and I win.

Now I am back up to 1,200 chips so I start playing a tiny bit more normal again.

I spend the next 2 hours running my 150 chips up to almost  600,000.  I was really happy about this, then my daughter starts crying and my wife wants me to do something about it. I try to play poker and stop the crying at the same time which make my wife mad.

So I am caught between a crying kid, and a mad wife vs. possibly winning this poker game.  I go all in with a lame hand thinking that nobody else had anything.

Turns out the one guy at the table with more chips than me gets a monster hand and knocks me out.  Oh well, then I think I would have made it to the final table if I would have just stopped playing.

Why didn’t I think of that about a minute ago… Oh well… next time.

I am not sure if it was the sleep depravation or the crying baby that messed up my game, I usually have coasting into more money at the front of my thought process, just not today when it would have really helped me.
