My Second Royal Flush

I keep reading on the web that the odds of getting a Royal Flush playing poker are 1 in 649,740 but I think that is if each person is playing with 5 cards.

I think in texas hold’em (where you only get 2 cards) the odds are 19,599 to 1.

After playing texas hold’em for a couple months I got a royal flush, another person at the table had the 9 which gave him the second best hand with a straight flush king high, he didn’t think I had the ace so I made some good money from him.

I was excited and someone asked me if I took a screen shot of it.  I didn’t even think about it.  But I decided that was a cool idea and the next time I got one I was going to get a screen shot.

My expectations were that it would be a few weeks or a month and I would get a couple more of them.

I have been playing about a year and I just hit my 2nd royal flush.

Remembering to get a screen shot I waited until the hand was finished then I started to do the screen capture and another one of my tables popped up.  So I got the mouse and clicked back on my royal flush table since the screen shot will be of the active table and I don’t want to get the wrong one.

I am just ready to hit the buttons and the 2nd table pops up, same thing for the 3rd table and when I get back to my royal flush table for 4th time I hit the buttons right as the cards were going away.

I really thought I was there a little before but checking my screen shot I got there just after.

Ok, so maybe in a year or two when I get my 3rd royal flush, if I ever do get a third one, I am going to immediately close out all my other tables and get a screen shot of it.

But the good news is that two other people at the table also hit some good cards and bet me up, so I made some good money with my second royal flush too.
