Played Ok in the Pokerstars Freeroll

The Pokerstars blogger freeroll was Sunday and I didn't win any of the cool prizes but I played an ok game, so I am not too disappointed with myself.

Everyone at the table except for me has their picture for an icon, I feel a little left out.

I started out and caught some really lucky cards, knocked one guy out when I got 4 kings.

A couple hands later I caught a set of aces on the river and knocked another one out.

Got moved to a new table and 2 other people at this table don't have pictures so I feel a little better.

Everyone is chatting a lot I guess that's to be expected from a table of bloggers.

At this table everyone is going all-in. The very first hand someone goes all in, same for 2nd hand.

This table is wild, and suddenly makes me realize how mild the first table was.

The blind is 100, gets raised to 700 someone will probably go all-in before it gets to the big blind.

I really have to switch gears fast; it’s now a totally different game than at the first table. I am folding everything except what I would go all-in with.

After 1st hour 1060 people left out of the 1473 who entered, I think half of them got knocked out at our table.

I still have 5980 from the 6800 I came to the table with, went all-in against a short stack and won. Next hand I played someone went all-in on the turn, I had top pair and top kicker but didn't want to risk half my chips, so I folded.

After the break everyone is calming down only going all in once in 3 or 4 hands now.

I just folded KJ suited because I was under the gun and didn't want to call an all in.

UTG JK again, folded... this is harsh.

No one goes all-in every time I fold a great hand pre-flop… of course.

These pictures really stick in your mind; I will probably remember Steve Forbes years from now.

Three times now the dealer has raised when I was the big blind, I am getting tired of that. But that is exactly what gets me into trouble.  No doubt the hand I call him down with he will have a little better hand than me.

Now it's 4 to 6 times the big blind to get into a hand. The table is not as wild as when I first got here.

No one has said a word at this table, I am not sure these are real bloggers.

Work my way up to 8k big stack at the table, then 14.5 k sits down to my left, he has some kind of alien picture.

25 ante and 100/200 blinds just started 1.5 hours in.

Someone uses the extra 60 seconds you can ask for, this is only the 2nd time anyone has done this.

I don't understand this but this is the 3rd time it has happened.  Somehow when someone goes all in and loses, it does not show the cards unless they were heads up with someone.  I don't understand the reasoning behind that at all.

I didn’t know you could go all-in then muck your cards on the river if you lost? Isn’t there some kind of law against that?

AQ goes all in I call with KK.  AQ is not that great of a hand to be going all in with.

Next hand, I get KK again, what are the odds of that.  Two people call and I am up against AA and 99.  Nothing comes on the board, I am toast.  I get ready to leave and I end up with more chips that I started with.... whew....  up to 11k now.

Guess I had the AA must have been a short stack.

New table. Sit down first hand go all-in with 99 get 1 caller, knock him out in position #400.

Next hand pocket 7's  goes all in against 10's, another wild table.

I probably have enough chips to coast to a hat now. That's the first prize offered at position #99.

The Rock from Big Time Wrestling sits down at the table now.

Another KK against AA glad I am not in this one, AA holds up.

One small problem is that the chips do not have the numbers on them so I have a little trouble figuring out what other people have bet, just looking at their chips is a little hard to read.

Pot amount is shown on top of table, I am still not used to looking up there for it.

I have AK suited against QQ hit nothing, lost 2k.

The little picture turns to raise or call so at least you have an idea what they did since the chips really don't help.

Go all in with 88 against 99, a straight falls on the board and I get my money back.

I win with 22 against QJ, back up to 8k now.

The flashing messages about other games on the table are a little annoying; they are kind of large and cover the table when they pop up.

I go all-in with 88 since I haven't had any cards for a while and I get called by QQ the board comes A K A K 9 so the queen beats my 8 what luck.

I am knocked out in 140th place, oh well. I played pretty good. Just ran out of luck towards the end.
