Confidence Restored - Playing Good Poker Again

Today I started playing a tournament and I also got on 3 ring games at the same time to try and work off some more of the raked hands I need for the bonus on poker333.com.

I caught some lucky cards and worked my way up to the chip leader after about 2 hours.

My ring games were up over $100 seemed like I was catching ok cards nothing special, I really wasn’t paying that close of attention to the ring games.

Kept 1st place until the 3rd hour of the tournament then I hit a dry spell and just didn’t get any cards for a while.

Two people passed me up so I was 3rd with chips.  Won all the money back I lost yesterday on my ring games plus another $110 so I am feeling good about that.

Toward the end of the tournament I made several bad plays.  I was waiting for the 4th place guy to get blinded out and I knew I had the best hand so I bet then the other guy put in about half my chip stack.  I knew I had the better hand so I called and he caught a lucky card on the river.

That was a bad play on my part, I should have waited for a better opportunity, and not let him draw out on me like that.  He probably would have folded if I would have just gone all in preflop.

Now I am short stacked and so the larger stacks are pushing me around a lot.

I end up with a 4th place finish out of 640 players, which is not bad and I made up all the money I lost before plus another $100 on my ring games.  I also finished the bonus while I was playing so I got another $50.00.

The grand total is my account is up $227 in the last 2 days.  Plus my confidence is restored and I feel like a real poker pro now.

So I am ready to play some more poker and make some more money.
