Looking For New Poker Tables

I just received an email from Party Poker – I like Party Poker, but the email has a heading that says:

  • 9000 tables at all levels
While it’s true that they have a lot of tables, although not as many as they used to – I know they don’t have 9000 tables at all levels.

I have been thinking about moving up in levels lately and checking out some different sites.

To really make any money worth while you must play the higher levels.

Earning 1 big blind per hour means the lower limit poker tables just don’t pay that much.

I have noticed that at most sites when you hit $2/$4 the 10 person tables start dropping off.

And if you look at the really big tables like $100/$200 then usually they can’t fill a 6 person table.

So I am trying to decide if I should keep playing the 10 person tables or switch to the short handed poker tables (6 person).

On the tables over $50/$100 it seems that usually there is only one person sitting at the table waiting for someone else to come along and play.   So at those levels you better be ready to play heads up.

So I now realize that I have to change my play I am just unsure or unwilling to take the hit to learn something new when I have a game that works for me at the moment.

I say works in that I like playing it and I make a little money, not works as in I can make money at it.

I am averaging a little over 1 big blind per hour at the .50/$1 tables plus bonuses.

Even though I can play 4 tables at a time that still only gets me up to $4 per hour which is not really worth my time.
