Poker Short Handed Vs. Full Table

The main difference in the poker games at the short handed tables is that you have to adjust your poker game to the players at the table much more.

When I am playing at the full 10 person table then I can play my standard game. I have almost a standard set of rules that will work at almost any table on the .50/$1 level.  Just because there are enough bad players and any site at this level that a very basic game will make money.

When I switch to a short handed table then I have to play a lot more hands, and just playing a standard game is many times a losing game. Depending on the other players at the table.  With 4 to 6 players at the table you have to bluff and you have to win your bluffs against the other players.  That means your winnings depend more on who you can bluff and how much you can bluff them.

At the full ring games there is very little bluffing, going on.  For the most part you just wait for premium hands then wait for someone to call you to the river with them.

When someone will call you to the river with Ace high, you really can’t bluff with anything less than that since they will never fold anyway.
