Changing Levels $1/$2 Poker Tables

I tried to move my poker game up to the $1/$2 tables from the .50/$1 tables I am not sure why I did this but shortly there after, maybe because I was losing so much money I switched to the short handed $1/$2 poker tables.

A short handed table will clear your bonuses about 1.5 to 2 times faster than a full ring table at the same level, which is kind of nice but if your losing money then it really doesn’t matter much.

The short handed tables play a little different and it depends much more on the players as to how well you do, with a full ring game you can just play your game and win at just about any table, at the short handed tables you have to play the other players. If they are folding then you have to be raising if they are re-raising then you have to be folding. And you have to figure out fast how they are playing.

I really don’t like playing other players, I like playing my cards so I am much more suited for the full ring games.

But switching to the short handed tables caused me to lose even more money.  Over the last couple weeks I have lost around $700 so now my account is low enough where I can’t play $1/$2 anymore since I would be risking losing all my money.

I have decided to switch back to .50/$1 limit poker until I build up my account again.

I really don’t like the idea of moving up with a limited amount of money then if you lose moving back down.  I am doing it now because I have no choice, but I won’t move up again until I have at least 1000 big blinds and I am confident that I will be able to stay at the higher level.
