Poker Bots - Most Play .50/$1 limit Poker

I was reading more about poker bots and it looks like the majority of them play the .50/$1 limit games.  I think the reason for this is because at that level it is not to hard to see the trends in betting that the majority of the people have.  Most people play a very similar game and it’s not that hard to come up with a strategy that will work on most tables at that level.

At the $1/$2 level there is a lot more variance in the play of different players and you have to start adjusting your play to match the different players that you run into.  I think it’s probably possible to come up with an over all winning strategy it’s just going to be a lot harder and you will need a lot more money to cover the swings you’re going to run into.

With $800 you probably have a big enough bankroll for .50/$1 limit poker with out much trouble.  But $1600 would be easy to lose at $1/$2 limit poker, especially if you just have one strategy for all the tables you play on.
