Playing Poker When Your Tired
I was just reading about how playing poker for a living is harder than most jobs, because with poker you have to operate at or very close to 100% all the time.
With many other jobs you can go to work and really just coast, put in 10% and get through the day or several days and not really have any problems.
But when your playing poker and you slip just a small amount then it can cost you a lot of money.
After reading this, I signed up for what I thought was a limit game, and it turned out that I was a little tired and ended up playing no limit instead.
I put in 25% of my bankroll and was doing ok for a little while then I flop a straight and I think I am doing good so I start betting, some guy calls me to the river for all my chips with a pair of queens, then takes all the chips. I go back and look and I misread the cards and didn't actually have a straight I had a pair of jacks was all.
I really need to make sure I never play no limit when I am tired again.
